After a four year career at the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, he entered the asset management business in 1985 and since then has held extensive professional roles ranging from portfolio management and quantitative research & development to international marketing.

Mr. Hikima has served Japanese and non-Japanese organizations for some time, including pension fund sponsors, foreign governments and supranationals, as an investment advisor. He later focused more on new business areas in Japan such as Defined Contribution Plans, as well as retail investment trust business. He became the President & CEO for Nikko Asset Management in January 2002, after serving as Executive Director, Head of Product & Business Development for three years.

He has taken the initiative in developing the first SRI Funds in Japan such as "Nikko Eco Fund" and "Nikko Global Sustainability Fund" and continues his active roles in promoting SRI worldwide as a Steering Committee member of UNEP FI. He received a B.A. in International Finance from Sophia University and is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan as well as CFA in the United States.

Richard Gröttheim has been Executive Vice President at the Seventh AP fund since April 2000. Prior to that he was head of the Monetary and Foreign exchange policy department at the Swedish central bank. He has also been chief economist at the Swedish brokerage firm Aragon Securities.

The Seventh AP fund acts within the premium pension system (PPM), the state defined contribution system. It is a global equity fund with 10 per cent Swedish index linked bonds and 8 per cent in alternative investments. The fund mainly manages money for people that didn't select a private fund within the PPM system. With assets of more than E3.5 Billion, growing at a rate of E 1 Billion per year it is one of Europe's fastest growing pension funds.

Peter Moon entered the city in 1972, working for the Central Board of Finance of the Church of England, after graduating from University College London with an economics degree.

He has held a number of positions since and has been Chief Investment Officer at the Universities Superannuation Scheme since November 1992.

He was a member of the NAPF Investment Committee from 1990 to 1995 and Chairman of the NAPF Stock Exchange Sub-Committee from 1991 to 1995. He is investment advisor to Middlesborough Council and the London Pension Funds Authority.

Ms. Tessa Tennant, Chair, ASrIAMs. Tessa Tennant, Chair, Association for Sustainable and Responsible Investment in Asia (ASrIA)

In 1988, Tessa Tennant co-founded the UK's first sustainable investment unit trust and has worked in the field ever since, most recently as Head of SRI Strategy for Henderson Investors.

From 1993 to 1997, she was Chair of the UK Social Investment Forum and has served on environmental advisory panels for the UK Government and HRH The Prince of Wales.

She is a Board member of The Calvert World Values Fund, Washington DC and an adviser to the UNEP Finance Initiatives.

Since 1997, she has focussed on research of Asian companies for SRI portfolios and in 1998 co-founded the world's first SRI fund for the Asia Pacific region.
