UNEP FI 2005 Global Roundtable
25-26 October 2005 | UN Headquarters — New York, USA
Agenda | Shaking the tree: NGOs and financial institutions
Increasingly, banks are in dialogue with activist NGOs that also participate in development of industry best environmental practices and policy, such as the Equator Principles. All of this is not without controversy. The panel of experts representing various sides of this issue explored these questions with the audience:
- The activist NGO – a good business partner?
- Working with NGOs, courageous or cowardice?
- Corporate social responsibility, distracting business from business?
- First the Equator Principles, where next?
- The activist campaign – does it ever end
