Training Workshop and CEO Breakfast for the Central American Banking Sector: Environmental and Social Risk Assessment for Credit and Investment Processes

The first training workshop convened by the Latin American Task Force in Central America, this event was marked by the attendance of FI representatives from across the region. Following a day’s training on the 15th, participants pooled ideas and recommendations which were presented at a CEO Breakfast on the following day. Among these were the creation of a sector-wide policy on social and environmental risks, as well as the adoption of policies within individual institutions. Salvadorian CEOs at the Breakfast appealed to the national banking association (ABANSA) to actively promote the sustainability agenda in the country’s financial sector.
