PRI in Emerging Markets Workshop: Asia-Pacific Experience

The PRI in Emerging Markets Workshop (Asia Pacific) will open the window on the realities, risks and returns facing investors within and into the EM countries in the Asia-Pacific region. More attention is being given to the investment decisions made by institutional investors, domestic corporations and foreign companies with supply-chain operations in EM countries. Participants will engage in dialogue of their own experiences and learn from their peers of the UNEP FI Global Roundtable from investment, policy, banking and development backgrounds.

This workshop is designed to be interactive, with a maximum participant size of 40, and moderated conversation as a core activity. The workshop will provide insights into the PRI in Emerging Markets Project, experiences in evaluating the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) performance of firms in the region, updates on the integration of OECD guidelines and Equator Principles, and challenges in disclosure and engagement. The presenters will deliver their own experiences in the fields and offer recommendations for future action. Asia-Pacific coverage will focus specifically on China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, South Korea, and Thailand.
