UNEP FI has nearly 70 members and over 20 supporting institutions from the Asia Pacific.

This Asia Pacific section acts as a disseminator and promoter of UNEP FI’s work in the Asia-Pacific Region, in the form of training workshops, webinars, conferences and tools, etc., to promote the adoption of best sustainability practice at all levels of financial institution operations in the Asia-Pacific region. The webpage also serves to provide an Asian perspective to UNEP FI’s overall work program.

Within the Asia Pacific section, there are three country sub-pages:

Capacity Building
  • Malaysia: UNEP FI and the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) co-hosted the joint technical workshop, “Advancing Sustainable Finance – Sustainability, Climate, and Nature” to advance climate-responsive and nature-positive sustainable banking in Malaysia. Read about it here.

This workshop was a part of the capacity building programme to strengthen climate integration by financial institutions in ASEAN countries, and is supported by the Shinhan Financial Group
