World Water Week 2007, 14 August | Stockholm, Sweden

This year’s Founders’ Seminar, co-convened by the Stockholm Water Foundation, SIWI, ITT Corporation, UNEP FI, the WBCSD and Siemens, focused on how to make sustainable water use everybody’s business, linking the financial sector, business and other stakeholders in the water sector. It discussed and explored issues around how to improve and increase investments, operations and collaboration for sustainable provision and use of water. The question that lay at the heart of the discussion was: what are the roles and responsibilities of water-exposed businesses and the financial institutions backing them in ensuring overall water sustainability?
