UNEP FI  and the PRI will host a webinar on the European Commission’s public consultation on investor duties (fiduciary duties) and sustainability on Friday, 8 December at 10am GMT/11am CET. The consultation builds on the EU High Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance’s interim report, which recommends greater clarification by the EU in this area.

Speakers include:

  • David Rouch, Freshfields
  • Claudia Kruse, Managing Director Global Responsible Investment & Governance, APG.

The webinar will be moderated by HLEG observer Nathan Fabian, Director of Policy and Research at the PRI, and will include an opportunity to ask questions at the end. Register here.

The consultation runs until 22 January 2018 and will feed into an impact assessment. The Commission’s press release can be found here and full details of the consultation here.

We strongly welcome this consultation and encourage institutions to respond. UNEP FI and the PRI have been calling for EU clarification of investor duties since the launch of Fiduciary Duty in the 21st Century in 2015.
