Ms. Hülya Kurt, CEO of Escarus, served as the Head of the Engineering Department and Chair of the Sustainability Committee at The Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB) until December 2015. In addition, she served as the Vice President of the Board of Escarus since its foundation in 2011. She was appointed as the CEO of TSKB Sustainability Consulting (Escarus) in Janauary 2016.

Escarus is a TSKB subsidiary that create solutions and offer consulting services on Environment, Energy and Sustainability to its clients based on TSKB’s more than 60 years of accumulated experience. Ms. Kurt and the Escarus Team focuses on innovative approaches to Environment, Energy and Sustainability with their wide service mix.

Ms. Kurt focused TSKB’s sustainability issues to support inclusive business models and the first set of development goals specific to TSKB. She was leading TSKB’s efforts towards sustainable development including climate change and financing sustainability issues including renewable energy, energy efficiency, environmental projects and innovative finance. She acted as the team leader of Environmental and Sustainability Management System at TSKB. She has broad experience in environment, sustainability, renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change.
Since its foundation in 2009, she also acts as the chair of the Sustainable Banking Working Group at the Turkish Banking Association and led efforts to develop the Turkish Banking Association Sustainable Banking Guidelines. She holds a master’s degree in MBA from Koc University, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Hacettepe University.
