Hussain Khansaheb

Hussain Khansaheb has been working in the Marine Sector for the last 10 years. Currently, he serves as Director of Green Development at the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in Dubai, overlooking the implementation of the UAE Green Growth Strategy via coordination with relevant stakeholders and assuring the implementation of green initiatives and projects as well as following up the transformation requirements towards a Green Economy. Besides, the department is taking the role as secretariat of the Emirates Green Development Council.

Most recently, he was the Director of Marine Transportation Department in the Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai. He supervised the operation of the Marine Transportation Fleet in Dubai according to the best global standards and environmental criteria.

He started his career as a coastal engineer in Dutco Balfour Beatty, followed by working as a coastal engineer for Wagner Biru Gulf, where he supervised the construction of many major coastal projects in Dubai such as Dubai Water Front and the Floating Bridge.

Hussain holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Maritime Engineering from the University of Liverpool in the UK.
