João Consiglio is an Executive Vice-President and Head of Corporate Banking at Santander, Brazil.
He has extensive banking experience. He started his career as an economist at Bunge Group. Upon his move to Santander, João was in charge of product development and management, as well as a product Director for Santander and Banco Real. In addition, he was actively involved in establishing the culture of sustainability within the business environment.
João has significant experience in the area of corporate development/growth, being a major figure involved in the acquisition of banks during the consolidation of Brazilian financial markets (as well as in Private Equity and Planning), at ABN AMRO Brazil.
He was a board member for Visa Vale and has held other board level positions in the past.
João holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from USP (University of Sao Paulo, Brazil) and a Master’s degree from University of Genova (Italy).
