Marc Daubrey

marc-daubreyMarc Daubrey is an Agro economist with 25 years of extensive experience in the areas of agro economy, commodity markets / trading, sustainable development; climate change; clean development mechanisms, REDD+ and Low Emission Development Strategies. Marc earns an MSc degree in Agricultural Economics and a DESS degree in International Economics.
For several years he has been engaged with private sector organizations as well as supporting government institutions, both at a local level in Côte d’Ivoire and in West Africa, and also through international positions.

His current focus has been on supporting and advising the REDD+ secretariat and the Ministry of Environment in Côte d’Ivoire, in line with the national REDD+ strategy, through various activities such as a scope study on private investments opportunities in REDD+, a study on Landscape of Land Use public finance, a Payment for Environmental Services – PES feasibility study and pilot project, along with the private sector engagement for a zero deforestation agriculture and a friendly forest cocoa strategy.
Before that, Marc has been managing Côte d’Ivoire National Designed Authority for Clean Development Mechanism – CDM, for Kyoto Protocol and more recently, he has been coordinating on behalf of Côte d’Ivoire Government and Ministry of Environment, with the support of the UNDP and the Global Environment Fund- GEF, Côte d’Ivoire INDCs for participation to Paris COP21. Marc has also supported other West African countries in developing their INDCs and implementing their Low Emission Development Strategies. Marc is also currently participating to implementing sustainable activities on the ground with an NGO Impactum and GIWA – Green Investment in West Africa.
