About

UNEP FI Signatories based in Europe are automatically affiliated to the European Task Force, which provides a pan-European platform to address region-specific sustainability issues and gaps. The European Task Force also serves to feed a European viewpoint into UNEP FI’s overall work. The Task Force works with a network of regional partners to disseminate, promote and communicate UNEP FI’s work across the region, and deliver specific projects; such as tools, research and workshops, all with the aim of driving sustainability and responsible investment throughout European Financial Institutions and their supply chains.

The European Task Force works with local partners to deliver a range of events on an annual basis; including an annual face-to-face meeting of the Task Force, outreach events to drive awareness of social and environmental risks and opportunities for the financial sector, and training workshops for Financial Institutions in the region.

There are two sub-groups within the European Task Force:

  1. Central and Eastern European Group
  2. Nordic Group
