Risk Training Workshops and Online Courses

In 2005, the Latin American Task Force launched its Environmental & Social Risk Training Programme for risk managers and analysts in corporate, investment and retail banking.

The Programme started with one-day Country Training Workshops followed by CEO Breakfasts. These Workshops are still being held and have so far been organised in the following venues:

• Bogota, Colombia - March 2005
• Buenos Aires, Argentina - May 2005
• Lima, Peru - March 2006
• San Salvador, El Salvador - June 2006
• Guayaquil & Quito, Ecuador - September 2006
• Mexico City, Mexico - February 2007
• Santiago, Chile - May 2007
• Caracas, Venezuela - October 2007

Environmental & Social Risk Analysis (ESRA) Online Courses

In 2006 the LATF launched a three-week online course on the same issues and based on the same framework & philosophy with a view to

• providing more in-depth & personalised training than the one-day Workshops
• reaching out to a wider audience than the Workshops by providing several courses a year, open to the region as a whole
