Activities in 2006

The Nordic Signatories have met twice already this year, first in Oslo and again in May for the Western European Forum in Copenhagen, they have outlined a strategy for the rest of 2006 and into 2007. The Bank of Iceland expressed interest in hosting one of the meetings next year.

The focus is to raise awareness of CSR and SRI within the community and the companies themselves, identify news and reports that may be of interest to the network, while also encouraging information exchange between firms. Other important points included were the discussion of Corporate Governance, Global Compact and ISO 26000. The network will endeavour to see ways in which the Principles for Responsible Investment initiative can be incorporated into the Nordic region.
