Emerging Markets
Emerging Market Responsible Investment Project
The Emerging Market Responsible Investment Project will determine how capital markets and policy makers can act to resolve the global pensions crisis and meet international development priorities through responsible investment in emerging markets.
The project will convene a group of investors, regulators and other stakeholder groups in mature and emerging markets to collaborate on practical actions addressing the principal barriers to such investment.
The project is starting in November 2004 with initial support from a number of institutional investors, asset managers, NGOs, academics and governments.
By March 2005 a global forum will be established to develop and implement a project work programme. The forum will include participants from all regions globally for effective information exchange.
