This first pilot of the in-person exchange will be a two-day visit on October 1st and 2nd. During these two days, “visiting members” will have the opportunity to visit 3 different “host banks” and the Brazil Banking Association FEBRABAN and learn from their experiences and practices.

The four hosts are FEBRABAN, Santander Brasil, ITAU Unibanco, Bradesco.

All the meetings will take place in FEBRABAN premises: Av. Brig. Faria Lima, 1.485 – 14º andar (meeting room is in 15th floor), CEP.: 01452-002 – São Paulo

Day 1, October 1st:

FEBRABAN: We will start the exchange with a meeting with FEBRABAN to discuss and understand the national context and the broader vision of integration of ESG criteria within the banking sector. The meeting with FEBRABAN will have a duration of 3hrs. (9:00 am to 12:00 pm)

Lunch break* (1.5 hrs, 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm) we reconvene in FEBRABAN at 2:00 pm to proceed.

Santander Brasil: Our first host bank will present the following topics: Leadership and the strategic commitment to sustainability; Microfinance and microcredit; photovoltaic energy generation (retail banking approach). We will have 4 hours to discuss these topics with Santander (2:00 pm to 6:00 pm).

Day 2, October 2nd:

Itau Unibanco: Our second host will share with us their experience on the following topics: Environmental and social risk assessment from the portfolio perspective, with an emphasis on climate change risk and the TCFD pilot from UNEP FI; social issues, diversity, and human rights from the business perspective; and the links between sustainability and SDGs and their relevance for the banking sector. We will have 4 hours to discuss these topics with Itau (8:30 am to 12:30 pm).

Lunch break* (1.5 hrs, 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm) we reconvene in FEBRABAN at 2:00 pm to proceed.

Bradesco: Our final host Bradesco will share their experience with us on the following topics: Sustainability governance (including voluntary commitments and regulation); and inovaBRA – an ecosystem of innovation, financial inclusion, and microfinance. We will have 4 hours to discuss these topics with Bradesco (2:00 pm to 6:00 pm).

Networking: visitors will have the flexibility to organize networking meetings during breakfast, lunch or dinner, as they consider necessary, at their own expenses.

* Meals are not provided by the organization; however, a range of restaurants are available around FEBRABAN premises.

UNEP FI members: 500 USD

Non-UNEP FI members: 3000 USD

Visitors will have to arrange and cover their own expenses for travel, accommodation and meals.

Primer evento piloto

Este primer piloto del intercambio en persona será una visita de dos días, el 1 y 2 de octubre del 2018. Durante estos dos días, los “miembros visitantes” tendrán la oportunidad de visitar 3 diferentes “bancos anfitriones” y la Asociación de Bancos de Brasil FEBRABAN y así aprender de sus experiencias y prácticas.

Los cuatro anfitriones serán FEBRABAN, Santander Brasil, ITAU Unibanco y Bradesco.

Todas las reuniones tendrán lugar en las instalaciones de FEBRABAN: Av. Brig. Faria Lima, 1.485 – Piso 14º (sala de reuniones en el piso 15), CEP: 01452-002 – São Paulo

Día 1, 1 de octubre:

FEBRABAN: Comenzaremos el intercambio con una reunión con FEBRABAN para discutir y entender el contexto nacional, así como la visión más amplia de la integración de los criterios de ASG dentro del sector bancario. El encuentro con FEBRABAN tendrá una duración de 3 horas. (9:00 am a 12:00 pm)

Almuerzo* (1.5 hrs, 12:00 pm a 1:30 pm) nos volvemos a reunir en FEBRABAN a las 2:00 pm para continuar.

Santander Brasil: Nuestro primer banco anfitrión presentará los siguientes temas: Liderazgo y compromiso estratégico con la sostenibilidad; Microfinanzas y microcréditos; Generación de energía fotovoltaica (con un enfoque de banca comercial). Tendremos 4 horas para discutir estos temas con Santander (2:00 pm a 6:00 pm).

Día 2, 2 de octubre:

Itaú Unibanco: Nuestro segundo anfitrión compartirá con nosotros su experiencia en los siguientes temas: Evaluación de riesgos ambientales y sociales desde una perspectiva de portafolios, con énfasis en el riesgo del cambio climático y el proyecto piloto de TCFD de UNEP FI; temas sociales, diversidad y genero, y derechos humanos desde la perspectiva empresarial; y los vínculos entre la sostenibilidad y los SDGs, y su relevancia para el sector bancario. Tendremos 4 horas para discutir estos temas con Itaú (8:30 am a 12:30 pm).

Almuerzo* (1.5 hrs, 12:30 pm a 2:00 pm) nos volvemos a reunir en FEBRABAN a las 2:00 pm para continuar.

Bradesco: Nuestro último anfitrión, compartirá con nosotros su experiencia en los siguientes temas: Gobernanza de la sostenibilidad (incluyendo los compromisos voluntarios y la regulación); e inovaBRA – un ecosistema de innovación, inclusión financiera y microfinanzas. Tendremos 4 horas para discutir estos temas con Bradesco (2:00 pm a 6:00 pm).

Networking: los visitantes tendrán la libertad de organizar reuniones de networking durante el desayuno, el almuerzo o la cena, según lo consideren necesario y a su propio costo.

*Las comidas no son proporcionadas por la organización, sin embargo, hay una variedad de restaurantes disponibles alrededor de las instalaciones de FEBRABAN.
