About the event
The PSI Africa Market Event is an annual event. The first took place in Johannesburg in April 2018, hosted by Santam Insurance, the second in Lagos in April 2019, hosted by Continental Re.
The event focuses on three key themes:
- The Food System & Agriculture
- Resilient Cities
- Narrowing the Risk Protection Gap
The PSI Africa Market Event brings together leading practitioners and thinkers within the African insurance ‘ecosystem’ to share experiences and ideas that can help grow a resilient, sustainable, responsible and profitable African insurance sector.
As a sector, we have an important contribution to make in support of a viable, resilient continent.
Previous events were attended by insurers and non-industry experts, and were structured and facilitated to allow participants maximum opportunity to discuss the areas of most interest to them in small groups. This design has proved very rewarding and 2020 Market Event will be run similarly.
