Mr. Du Shaozhong is currently the Chairman of China Beijing Environment Exchange. Mr. Du has intensive experience in environmental protection and climate change, especially in the field of using market based instrument to stimulate energy saving and emission reduction. During the time at Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Mr. Du, as the project director/team leader, participated in various key research projects at municipal level, including The Establishment of Decision Support System for Beijing Motor Vehicle Pollution Control; Beijing V Vehicle Emission Standards, Technologies and Implementation; Diesel Emission Factors for Beijing Non-road Mobile Machinery as well as VOCs Emission Factors for Gas Stations. Since May, 2012, as Chairman of the China Beijing Environmental Exchange, Mr. Du has been actively promoting international cooperation and responsible for several projects which has important domestic and international impact such as Green Development Project with United Nations Development Programme, The Mechanism Design and Application for Building Carbon Emissions Trading with the British Embassy and the Beijing City Carbon Finance Study with Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform.
