Karin Greve-Isdahl

Executive Vice-President of Sustainability, Public Affairs & Corporate Communications

Storebrand (Norway)

I am a Norway-based sustainability and corporate communications executive with a profound interest in sustainable finance and insurance, corporate governance, international relations and digital business transformation. I serve as EVP of Storebrand ASA, a leading Nordic asset owner and asset management and insurance company, renowned for our sustainable positioning and business approach.

My responsibilities include initiatives that we do as an Asset owner, to exert influence on portfolio companies in a sustainable direction, decisions to withdraw investments from companies that fail to comply with our ethical standards, as well as spearheading the development of a new and ambitious climate policy for the Storebrand Group. I also work closely with our CEO to leverage our involvement in the Net Zero Asset Owner alliance, and the Nordic CEOs for Sustainable Future initiative as well as other strategic alliances.

My former professional experience includes roles as VP and global spokesperson for Opera Software, where I led the digital transformation of Opera’s communications worldwide including a mobile-first strategy and a pro-active presence in digital channels and social media.

I previously served as Communication Director for SN Power, a Norway-based, global renewable energy firm owned by the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries, as well as a TV reporter for CNB in London, Bogota and New York. I hold a master’s degree in international relations and journalism from Bond University in Australia.

I was a finalist for the annual “Young Leader of the Year” in Norway in 2016. While Norwegian is my native tongue, I am fluent in English (oral and written) and feel comfortable speaking both Italian and Spanish.
