UNEP FI is bringing the 19th edition of the Global Roundtable on Sustainable Finance (GRT) to London on 23 and 24 June 2026, to host one of the UN’s largest sustainable finance-focused events alongside London Climate Action Week. This year’s theme, From Risk to Resilience: Financing the Future,’ reflects the growing need across the financial industry to respond to global challenges with vision and leadership for a resilient future.

The biennial UNEP FI Global Roundtable (GRT), held in collaboration with the Green Finance Institute in 2026, is the premier forum shaping the sustainable finance agenda worldwide. For over three decades, this UN platform has brought together the most influential voices across finance, policy, science and sustainability to accelerate the transformation of the financial system. It provides a unique platform where financial institutions, regulators, supervisors, academics and civil society engage in constructive dialogue on aligning finance with sustainable development.

UNEP FI and the Green Finance Institute join forces

The UNEP FI Global Roundtable 2026 will be held in collaboration with the Green Finance Institute (GFI), an independent organisation focused on shaping how finance can support the real economy transition.

The GFI supports governments and financial institutions around the world as they move from sustainability ambition to delivery, with a focus on designing investable and scalable solutions. Operating in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and South East Asia, the GFI’s market‑driven financial and policy experts combine local insight with global market expertise. Through its Transactions to Transitions work, GFI helps align policy objectives with the financial structures and products that enable private capital to deploy at scale — ensuring sustainability outcomes can be achieved in ways that are compatible with institutional mandates and return requirements.

Developed to deliver financial transactions at scale, this approach turns ambition into action by coordinating efforts across policy design, institutional reform, pipeline development, and transaction execution. This execution‑focused model complements UNEP FI’s leadership on frameworks and principles by helping translate them into real‑world investment pathways.
