Why join the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance?

Together, institutional investors can play a key role in helping the world limit global warming to 1.5°C.The Alliance’s members represent a significant portion of the financial sector and are delivering on a bold commitment to transition their investment portfolios to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The Alliance invites fellow leadership institutions to join this effort.

The Alliance core membership requirements can be summarised in three parts i) making the commitment, ii) setting intermediate decarbonisation targets (updated every five years), and iii) reporting on progress annually.

This document spells out the details of the commitment as well as the Alliance’s process for delisting. Upon submitting a signed commitment, an institution joins the Alliance.
