UNEP FI to support opportunities for green growth in Africa at 3GF Africa conference

The Global Green Growth Forum (3GF), UNEP and the Government of Kenya are co-hosting a high-level Conference in Nairobi on 14-15 May. The aim of the conference is to address key African green growth political priorities and interests and cover 3GF cross-cutting themes on financing for green growth, cities as drivers of green growth and sustainable lifestyles. The focus will be on the means to attract private funds, stimulate new markets, as well as R&D, technology, skills and jobs. These new investments will support the implementation of the SDGs and climate targets and are therefore a key element of UNEP’s wider strategy for 2015. UNEP FI is delighted to announce that Mr. Joshua Oigara, the CEO of Kenya Commercial Bank Group, and Mr Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access Bank have confirmed their attendance and participation at the event. Mr.Geoffrey Odundo, the CE of the Nairobi Stock Exchange has also confirmed that he will attend. View the event programme.
