UNEP FI has nearly 70 members and over 20 supporting institutions from the Asia Pacific.

This Asia Pacific section acts as a disseminator and promoter of UNEP FI’s work in the Asia-Pacific Region, in the form of training workshops, webinars, conferences and tools, etc., to promote the adoption of best sustainability practice at all levels of financial institution operations in the Asia-Pacific region. The webpage also serves to provide an Asian perspective to UNEP FI’s overall work program.

Thailand flexes financial muscle to grapple with climate crisis

It is increasingly recognized that the finance and banking sectors can have a huge influence on the economy, through the way that they decide to invest in, and fund, businesses, and in Thailand, the UN is helping the government to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable finance.
