The Principles for Responsible Banking Guidance document is designed to support signatory banks’ implementation of the Principles. It provides non-binding guidance to banks on measures they can take to implement each Principle.

Each section of the Document begins with one of the six Principles, an introductory paragraph that sets out the intention of the Principle, and a summary of what that specific Principle requires from a signatory bank. This is followed by suggested measures banks can employ to implement each Principle, key resources available, and examples that provide some concrete ideas for implementation. The document ends with a high-level example of what implementation of the Principles for Responsible Banking could look like in the first four years.
