Brief Overview of Organisation

ASB Bank Limited (“ASB”) is a registered bank in New Zealand under the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1989. ASB delivers a wide range of financial products and services, including lending, transactional, deposit, investment, life and general insurance, and financial risk management products and services (including derivatives).

Summary of Sustainability Strategy

ASB’s purpose remains at the heart of ASB, accelerating the financial progress of all New Zealanders. Our purpose has three pillars: Financial Wellbeing (as an enabler for financial progress), Social Equality (where ASB can positively impact the major societal issues that face New Zealand) and Sustainability (to help New Zealand’s transition to a low emissions economy). Specific strategies to give effect to this include the ASB Climate Change Strategy and our Te Ao Māori Strategy. ASB’s Corporate Strategy is simple and easy every day, brilliant when it matters.

ASB is committed to embedding environmental and social considerations into our business processes and decision-making and sees great alignment with the UN Principles for Responsible Banking. Building culture and capability is a key focus for ASB and we welcome collaboration and partnership with the UNEP FI members.
