Why did the bank join UNEP FI as a member?
Jyske Bank A/S is committed to conducting its business in a responsible manner, thereby contributing, facilitating and creating sustainable growth in society, and in the world at large . It is conscious of the role that the organization plays as a larger Danish financial institution must play in influencing, supporting and financing the changes that are necessary to move forward towards meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals, as well as The Paris Agreement’s climate goals.
In adhering to the Principles for Responsible Banking, the bank will align itself with an ambitious and sustainable global financial community based on principles that are consistent with Jyske Bank’s core values and business strategy. The bank believes that measures to implement and make concrete the global principles for responsible banking will enhance its efforts working with sustainable and responsible finance, by being inspired by best practices and drawing on know-how from the rest of the world.
In short, Jyske Bank aims to make a difference in relation to sustainability and responsibility, as we aims for in other areas of our business.
