In February 2007 Nordea adopted the Equator Principles, a voluntary set of environmental and social guidelines for project financing, as the first Nordic bank to do so. The Equator Principles is a financial services industry benchmark for assessing and managing social and environmental risk in asset-based project financing.
Nordea has a policy for socially responsible investment – SRI policy. To this end, Nordea’s investment funds are signing the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI), thereby incorporating environmental, social and corporate governance issues into investment decision-making processes.
