Sörmlands Sparbank AB is a local savings bank operating in 5 municipalities in the landscape of Södermanland, approximately 1 hour south-west of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. The bank has branch offices in all municipalities: Katrineholm, Flen, Vingäker, Nyköping and Oxelösund.

Since 1832, Sörmlands Sparbank has been part of the local society by investing and working closely to the local market and the customers. The vision is to enable people and companies to grow in Sörmland, based on the foundation to create and maintain sustainable and long-term relationships with customers and to help customers to make sound and sustainable financial choices.

Agenda 2030 is the foundation for the sustainability work in Sörmlands Sparbank with a special focus on Sustainable Development Goals 4, 8, 11 and 12.

Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development

Sörmlands Sparbank has since long time ago made great efforts within the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the local community through economic contributions to projects that have a great influence on the development in local society.
Since 2005 the bank is certified according to ISO 14001:2015 and has a well-established environmental work. A climate report (according to the GHG protocol) is conducted on an annual basis to measure the carbon footprint of the banks operative business with the goal to decrease the carbon footprint year-by-year.

UN’s principles for responsible banking is an obvious next step for Sörmlands Sparbank to continue to improve the work within the areas of economic, social and ecological sustainable development.
