UNEP FI, the PRI and The Generation Foundation have published a report focusing on the policy work of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on sustainable finance and investment. This briefing makes recommendations to the OECD to align policy work on the financial sector with globally agreed sustainable development objectives, such as the Paris climate agreement.

The central recommendation is to update its existing global standards and principles, such as the Core Principles of Private Pension Regulation and the G20/OECD High-Level Principles of Long-Term Investment Financing by Institutional Investors, to better integrate sustainability issues.

UNEP FI and the PRI welcome the opportunity to work with OECD staff to achieve such alignment in terms of policy guidance, inter-governmental dialogue and research, data and policy analysis produced by the OECD Secretariat, its committees and the OECD Centre on Green Finance and Investment.
