The European Banking Authority (EBA)’s new Guidelines on ESG Risk Management, in force since January 2026, require banks to develop prudential transition plans. The Guidelines provide information regarding expectations on banks’ management of financial risks stemming from misalignment between their portfolios and the EU climate goals. To manage these risks, banks need to develop a single comprehensive strategic planning process over a long-term horizon of 10 years. This webinar will provide further information on the EBA’s Guidelines and how banks can prepare in this first year of implementation.
