This webinar provides insights into the emerging topic of streamlining greenhouse gases (GHG) accounting approaches among export credit agencies (ECAs) and export-import banks (ExIm banks). Speakers from leading ECAs and UNEP FI share perspectives on their GHG accounting practices and their experience applying GHG accounting standards within the ECA context, taking into account their specific products and mandates.
Members of the Net-Zero Export Credit Agencies Alliance (NZECA) and UNEP FI’s Secretariat also invite the broader trade finance community to engage in a dialogue on the development of harmonized methodologies for ECAs and advancing greater alignment of GHG accounting approaches across the sector. The webinar is designed for ECAs and ExIm banks seeking to enhance their GHG accounting and better understand areas of convergence and divergence across peers. It is also valuable for banks and insurers active in trade finance and interested in cooperation or closer alignment with export credit agencies.
