Supervisors around the world increasingly expect banks to demonstrate that sustainability risks are identified, measured and managed within their core risk management frameworks.

Yet many risk teams still lack a clear, practical and systematic way to embed climate, nature and social risks into established prudential processes. In a recent UNEP FI consultation with signatories to the Principles for Responsible Banking, 94% of respondents said having an approach they could follow for integrating sustainability risk into existing risk management frameworks would be valuable.

In this webinar, UNEP FI’s Risk Centre will introduce its new Approach to Sustainability Risk Integration, which is launching first with a conceptual framework on 15 July 2026, to help banks systematically integrate sustainability considerations into their existing frameworks.

The webinar is designed for all risk professionals with an interest in sustainability issues. This includes board risk committee members, CROs, first- and secondline risk managers, internal audit teams, and sustainability professionals (including regulators) who work closely with risk functions in banks.
