UNEP FI will be actively participating in London Climate Action Week 2025, contributing to key panels and events focused on sustainable finance, climate risk, and nature-based solutions. These sessions will bring together financial leaders to advance the role of finance in achieving net-zero, climate resilience and nature-positive goals. We look forward to engaging with UNEP FI members throughout the week—see below the events we’re involved in and please check back as new events continue to be added.

24 June | Investing in nature: A case study on grasslands
Time: 13:00-14:00 BST
Location: South Gallery Suites, Excel, Royal Victoria Dock, London, E16 1XL

Grasslands, covering 40% of global land and storing over 30% of terrestrial carbon—primarily in soil—are powerful carbon sinks with the potential to sequester up to 7.3 billion metric tons of CO₂ annually. Often overlooked, these “inverted forests” offer significant opportunities for climate mitigation, biodiversity protection, and rural livelihood support. Join this event, moderated by UNEP FI, to find out why grasslands regeneration presents a high-impact investment opportunity for financial institutions.
