UNEP FI and the One Planet Network are organizing a panel to explore opportunities for banks to mobilize finance to accelerate the development of business strategies aligned with sustainable consumption and production in diverse industry sectors. Discussing UNEP FI’s Principles for Responsible Banking and supporting the transition to a circular economy, banks and investors will learn that financing companies, technology and recycling infrastructure to advance the circular economy can unlock new investment opportunities. 13.00 – 15.00 on Wednesday 13 March | The contribution of sustainable finance to a circular economy  

UNEP FI and the European Commission will host a joint event to raise awareness of the interlinkages between the circular economy and sustainable finance including managing natural capital-related risks. Participants will discuss how current initiatives from UN Environment, the EU and the private sector, can contribute to sustainable consumption and production and a more efficient use of resources through the circular economy approach.
