The SR-Bank aims to be an organisation with an active approach to sustainability and takes responsibility for the environmental challenges facing our community. The bank will not, directly or indirectly, participate in violations of human and labour rights, corruption, serious environmental harm or other actions that could be considered unethical. This applies both internally and in relation to the global society. The responsibilities include products and services, consultancy and sales, investment and credit decisions, marketing, procurement, corporate governance and business administration. In addition, sustainability responsibilities apply to internal work with HSE, ethics, equality and environmental efficiency.

Why did the bank join UNEP FI as a member?

SpareBank 1 SR-Bank has joined the UNEP FI in connection with signing the Principles for Responsible Banking. We have done so because we strongly believe that banks must play a key role in meeting the sustainability goals and that working together will make a more substantial contribution.
