Sparebanken Sogn og Fjordane wants to make a difference and take responsibility for the environmental challenges. The bank’s work on sustainability will be built around the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals. They have identified which goals they believe they have a great impact on. They have defined specific measures related to these goals and will work systemically to achieve them. Sparebanken Sogn og Fjordane will continue to offer products and services that make it beneficial for their customers to choose sustainable alternatives such as green housing and car loans, as well as green bonds to their investors.

Sparebanken Sogn og Fjordane will also continue to support sustainable initiatives in their local community. To reduce their own emissions, they will publish an annual energy and climate accounts on their home page. This report is designed to identify how they affect the climate, and what measure they should take to reduce emissions from their operations. The energy and climate account for 2019 will be Sparebanken Sogn og Fjordane’s first.
