17 April 2018 Santiago de Chile

The first meeting of the Chilean Chapter of the Council on Women in Energy & Environmental Leadership (CWEEL for its acronym in English) took place in Santiago de Chile recently where, through working groups, a "roadmap" was generated for the coming years in terms of gender equity in energy and environment. This April, we’re going back to Johannesburg for another pioneering event—the first PSI Regional Market Event for Africa. The aim is to shape the sustainable insurance agenda in Africa across the insurance industry’s triple role in sustainable development as risk managers, insurers, and investors. Key sustainability challenges and opportunities that will be covered include the insurance protection gap, social and financial inclusion, and the resilience and sustainability of cities, infrastructure, and food and agriculture systems.

UNEP FI, the PRI, The Generation Foundation, and the International Institute of Green Finance (IIGF) invite you to the launch of the report on ‘Investor Duties and ESG Integration in China,’ hosted by BNP Paribas. The project team and key contributors will present the main findings and recommendations of the report on how clarifying the role of ESG integration in investor obligations and duties can contribute to achieving China’s long-term vision of balanced, inclusive and sustainable development.

Building on the success of its Forum in New York, Climate Action is bringing the Sustainable Investment Forum to Europe in March 2018 in partnership with UNEP FI. The European Forum will welcome 250+ high-level decision-makers from the finance community, European governments and think tanks to meet, network, share ideas and discuss concrete solutions to the current challenges of the European and global climate finance market.

Asobanca and BID Invest, in collaboration with IDE Business School carried out a workshop in Quito, Ecuador, focussed on Sustainable Finance and the integration of sustainability within governance, strategy and financial products.
